Rowan's aether is very strongly-aspected towards wind and lightning. Casual inspection reveals a markedly astral-aspected, dark smudge amidst the whirling storm - his anima. There's a disconnect between the tempest that is his corporeal aether and the shadows of his anima that does not reveal its secrets to a mere glance.

The voidsent Shalateph came to the Source centuries ago, and quickly allied itself with a powerful patron. News of it was scarce in the years leading up and following the Calamity, after which it was heard to have started possessing a Xaela by the name of Gharl Qestir.
